"On November 7, a general meeting of judges will take place again, during which a non-judge member of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee will be elected.
In accordance with Article 77, part 9 of the Judicial Code, in order to attract the candidates provided for in part 8 of the same article, the Judicial Department announces a competition at least thirty days before the election of non-judge members of the Ethics and Disciplinary Commission, within which non-governmental organizations meeting the requirements set by the Supreme Judicial Council can nominate one candidate each.
The biographies of the candidates and information about the organizations they represent are published on the official website of the judiciary. And while the candidates are preparing, heated discussions have started in the judicial system about the fact that among the candidates there are people who have no idea about the judicial system and do not know the field, and calls are already being made for some of the candidates, asking, "Dear Akhper, he is our relative, choose him, let him pass."
Will the judges be guided by clan interests and personal preferences this time, or will they choose an unbiased specialist who is really active in the field, the results of the upcoming General Assembly elections will show."
