President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky extended the martial law in the country for 90 days. The Verkhovna Rada announced this on its Telegram channel.
"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization for 90 days, starting on November 5, 2025," the statement said. According to the documents signed by the head of state, martial law and general mobilization will remain in force until February 3, 2026.
The President of Ukraine presented the relevant bill to the Verkhovna Rada on October 20. Martial law was previously extended on July 25.
It was announced earlier that the elections of local self-government bodies scheduled for the last Sunday of October were canceled due to the martial law in Ukraine.
