German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz made a post on the X page before leaving for Turkey. The Chancellor of Germany noted that the relations between the two countries are multilateral.
"We are united with Turkey by special and multilateral relations. Apart from foreign and security policy issues, there are also migration, energy and trade issues," he noted.
The Chancellor of Germany also stated that he will meet with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and added: "I want to expand our close partnership. That's why I'm in Ankara."
