Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will hold a press conference after the talks in Ankara on Thursday, the office of the Turkish President informed RIA Novosti.
Mertz visited Ankara. According to the Turkish diplomatic source, the leaders will discuss regional issues, including the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
Turkey will also inform Germany about its initiatives to resume negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul.
"A press conference is expected after the negotiations," the president's office explained.
According to the preliminary plan, the leaders should address the press at 15:30 Moscow time.
