The police arrested two suspects in the robbery of the Louvre museum, Le Parisien and Le Figaro report.
The first was arrested at the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport while preparing to fly to Algeria, the second was arrested by the judicial police of Paris in Saint-Saint-Denis.
The operation was carried out last night by the Interior Ministry's Anti-Bangladesh Brigade (Brigade de Répression du Banditisme, BRB), which is responsible for the investigation.
The men were arrested on charges of "organized theft" and "conspiracy to commit a crime." The police already know these two men from burglaries, and their detention can last up to 96 hours. Investigators believe there were four robbers in total.
