Georgian President Salome Zurabashvili, who accuses the ruling party of trying to block Georgia's EU entry and move closer to Moscow, was one of the first to vote in the parliamentary election.
Earlierwe reportedthat the polling stations were opened for the parliamentary elections in Georgia.
The current election is the first to use electronic ballot boxes, which are installed in 74% of polling stations. The CEC is expected to begin publishing the first voting results within two hours of polling stations closing. Immediately after the end of the voting, the local TV channels plan to announce the results of the exit poll.
