The State Customs Committee of Belarus reported that Lithuania has closed traffic at two operational checkpoints on its common border. Currently, two of the six road checkpoints on the Lithuania-Belarus border are functioning: Medininkai (Kamenni Log) and Shalchininkai (Beniakoni).
"Tonight, Lithuania has closed the traffic from 3:00 (Moscow time) through the Shalchininka checkpoint (Beniakoni on the Belarusian side) and from 5:00 through the Medininka (Kamenni Log) checkpoint," the agency said in a statement published on the Telegram channel.
It is noted that more than 1,500 trucks are currently registered in the electronic queue to exit Belarus at the mentioned checkpoints.
