Axios. A US Senate committee will support three anti-Russian bills

The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee is expected to support three anti-Russian bills on Wednesday, US news website Axios reported on Tuesday, citing lawmakers and their aides.

The publication notes that "the committee is expected to approve three bipartisan bills" aimed at "increasing pressure on Russia." It is still not clear when the House of Representatives can discuss them in full.

The first of the bills includes secondary sanctions against Moscow's trading partners. The senators' proposal would impose a 500% import tariff on US imports from countries that buy oil, gas, uranium and other commodities from Russia.

The second document calls on the United States to include Russia on the US list of state sponsors of terrorism. A third bill calls on Washington to regularly hand over frozen Russian assets held in the US to Kiev.
