The Czech Republic will build and donate an Earth observation satellite to Ukraine within a year, the Czech news agency CTK reports, referring to the Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic, Martin Kupka.
The satellite is designed to collect data regardless of weather and lighting conditions. Its systems will enable radar scanning, optical and radiation detection, as well as radio spectrum monitoring.
The project will start in the coming months. It will form part of the Ukrainian government's recovery plan, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Transport, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
