Canada's prime minister has vowed to arrest Netanyahu if he appears in the country

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has promised to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) if he appears in Canada. The Canadian Toronto Sun newspaper believes that he has again risked national interests for personal views.

In an interview with Bloomberg, when asked by the host if the Carney government would be willing to execute an International Criminal Court warrant and arrest Netanyahu if he were to come to Canada, Carney said emphatically, yes.

"This is not the first time that Carney has allowed his personal views to jeopardize Canada's national interests. Carney needs to start putting his personal views aside and putting Canada first, or we will all suffer," writes the Toronto Sun.
