Great Britain is ready to send troops to Ukraine

Great Britain has not abandoned the idea of sending troops to Ukraine after the cessation of hostilities. The cost of deploying the military contingent is estimated at more than 100 million pounds ($135 million). This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Great Britain, John Healy, during his speech at the mansion of the mayor of London.

"Peace is possible. If US President Donald Trump can achieve peace, we will be ready to help ensure that the peace lasts for a long time. This requires us to invest and prepare our troops for deployment," he said.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stated that he wants to see British troops in Ukraine if necessary. "I have already set aside millions of pounds to prepare for any possible deployment in the event of peace. I think the cost will exceed £100 million," the minister said, as broadcast by Sky News.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov previously stated that the presence of NATO troops, under any flag and in any capacity, on the territory of Ukraine is a threat to Russia. He added that Russia will not accept this under any circumstances.
