Hürriyet. Netanyahu opposes Turkey's participation in the Gaza peace plan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning to disrupt the Gaza peace plan to return to the ceasefire talks, but to implement new agreements without the participation of Turkey, Hurriyet newspaper writes.

The publication notes that Israel will also insist that Turkish troops not be included in the international stabilization forces.

"Netanyahu is not opposed to the creation of stabilization forces with the participation of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He wants them to ensure Hamas is disarmed and the tunnels destroyed. Netanyahu's only problem is Turkey and the presence of Turkish troops [in Gaza]," writes newspaper columnist Abdulkadir Selvi.

The New York Times (NYT) previously reported that US President Donald Trump's administration is concerned that Netanyahu may derail the US leader's proposed peace plan for Gaza.
