A report was submitted to the Police regarding the beating of activist Artur Chakhoyan. This was announced by Narek Sargsyan, the press spokesman of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
"The police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report on physical interference. The officers of the Nor Nork community police department arrested 1 person. Measures are being taken to identify the other participants in the incidentSargsyan said.
Earlier, Mesrop Manukyan, a member of the "Mother Armenia" faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, wrote on his Facebook page that an organized group attacked Artur Chakhoyan, beat him and stole his phone.
