"UAZ" has decided to abandon one of the environmentally unfavorable technologies of the last century


"UAZ" has decided to stop the production of "Bukhanka" cars with environmentally unfavorable engines.

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will no longer produce its SUVs with engines that meet the Euro 2 emissions standard. The information was confirmed by the press service of the company.

"Euro 2 compliant models have been removed from the model range. all our models currently meet the more environmentally friendly Euro 5 standard. There are no plans to resume the production of Euro 2-compliant cars," UAZ press service announced.

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has announced the withdrawal of cars with Euro 2 compliant engines from its range in mid-October 2025. Information about cars produced in 2024, including cars with Euro 2 engines, has disappeared from the official UAZ website. Only 2025 models are available for purchase at a price of 115,000-155,000 rubles (5.9-9.4%) higher than last year's models.

The starting price of Patriot SUV with Euro-5 engine is 1.84 million rubles. The price of the UAZ Pickup starts at 1.86 million rubles, the base version of the Hunter SUV is 1.65 million rubles, and the factory configuration of the Expedition is 1.96 million rubles.
