Vladimir Zelensky admitted that the issue of Ukraine's withdrawal from Donbas was discussed in Washington. He was quoted by "Strana.ua" publication.
"Mr. Witkoff says that this (the annexation of these territories to Russia) is included in the Russian constitution," he stated.
At the same time, Zelensky said that he does not agree with this position.
As reported by Reuters, White House President Donald Trump has hinted at freezing and destroying Ukraine if it does not reach an agreement. In addition, the president's special ambassador, Steve Witkoff, was among those most demanding that Kiev agree to a "territory swap" with Moscow.
