France Info: The Court of Auditors has prepared a report on the security issues of the Louvre

According to the France Info radio station, the Court of Audit of France prepared a report on serious security problems in the Louvre Museum in recent months.

According to the agency, the document is planned to be presented at the beginning of November. In it, the agency points to "significant and ongoing delays in bringing the technical equipment of the world's most visited museum up to standard."

In particular, it is emphasized that in the part of the museum where the Mona Lisa and the Apollo gallery are located (where the robbery took place), one third of the halls are not equipped with cameras.

The counting chamber noted that only 138 additional cameras were installed in the museum during the last five years. Moreover, the agency noted that only a little more than a third of the halls are equipped with at least one surveillance camera, also noting the lack of initiative by the museum management to improve security.
