A Turkish diplomatic source told RIA Novosti that Turkey still does not have specific information about a possible meeting between the leaders of Russia, the United States and Ukraine on its territory, but continues to hope for such an event.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly emphasized that without high-level negotiations, it is impossible to achieve concrete results in the settlement of the conflict.
Ankara has traditionally positioned itself as a mediator between Moscow and Kiev, based on its experience in implementing the "grain deal" and humanitarian initiatives.
Erdogan stated that Ankara's ultimate goal is to hold a leadership-level meeting on Ukraine, and according to the Turkish leader, he informed US President Donald Trump about it.
"There is no concrete process yet. But we are still waiting," the source of the agency said, refusing to comment further.
