Vance called on the Gulf countries to establish a security system in Gaza

US Vice President J.D. Vance believes the Gulf states must build a "security infrastructure" in the Gaza Strip to ensure control of the disarmament of the radical Palestinian movement, Hamas. He noted that Washington considers the disarmament of Hamas an important part of the Gaza peace agreement.

"Our Gulf allies still do not have the security infrastructure to ensure the disarmament of Hamas," Vance said, according to Agence France-Presse, calling on those countries to speed up their efforts to take appropriate measures.

Earlier, the state broadcaster Kan reported that Vance and the special representative of the US president, Stephen Wittkoff, will visit Israel this week.
