Rhinovirus, bocavirus, and coronavirus pathogens are circulating in Armenia

RA Ministry of Health reports:

"From the first week of October, the season of influenza and acute respiratory infections begins. The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health conducts monitoring in order to track the development trends of the situation caused by these diseases. Accordingly, the situation caused by acute respiratory infections is regular and in line with the current season. Thus, the incidence rates of acute respiratory infections recorded in the 3rd week of October 2024 have increased compared to the previous second week of October, but are lower compared to the same period last year. It should be noted that today relatively high rates are recorded among children under 4 years old, which is 71% of the total cases.

As of now, there are no influenza virus pathogens circulating in Armenia. The causative agents of other respiratory infections, rhinovirus, bocavirus coronavirus disease (SARS-Cov-2) are circulating. In order not to get sick with acute respiratory infections and the flu, as well as to avoid complications, get vaccinated against the flu by contacting a primary health care organization, avoid patients with flu-like symptoms after contact, if you are sick, stay at home, call your local pediatrician, therapist or family doctor and do not self-medicate, do not use antibiotics because they are not indicated for the treatment of flu, dress according to the weather, keep C cough and sneeze etiquette, use as much fluids as possible, frequently ventilate closed spaces, follow personal hygiene.
