The Trump administration is discussing the possibility of a meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during his visit to Asia in late October or early November, CNN reported, citing two officials.
They said that the discussions are still at an early stage, and the administration of the US president is not yet sure that the meeting will take place.
The interlocutors of the TV company noted that the logistical issues related to organizing a meeting of this level have not yet been worked out.
Sources told CNN that the White House leader's request to Kim Jong Un in early 2025 went unanswered because Pyongyang did not accept Trump's letter.
