US President Donald Trump's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Wittkoff, will visit the Middle East region on Sunday to promote the Gaza peace plan, Axios reported Friday, citing sources.
"It is expected that Wittkoff will leave for the Middle East on Sunday evening to promote the agreement to end the war in Gaza, according to an American official and a source familiar with the matter," the portal reported.
The source noted that Wittkoff plans to visit Egypt and Israel during his trip, and will probably also visit the Gaza Strip.
