Wittkoff described how he felt after Israel struck Doha

US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Wittkoff has stated that he and the American leader's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, felt betrayed after the Israeli airstrike on Doha.

"We felt a little betrayed," he told CBS.

On September 9, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the launch of Operation Firing Heights and struck high-ranking Hamas officials in the Qatari capital.

Eyewitnesses told RIA Novosti about a series of powerful explosions that took place in Doha. The Israel Hayom newspaper reported that Israeli authorities had warned the US and Qatar before striking the movement's leaders, who were in the Qatari capital.

"RIA Novosti" received a statement from Hamas, in which it is noted that six people were killed as a result of Israeli strikes, including the son of the movement's leader in the Gaza Strip, Humam al-Hayya.
