About 115 Palestinian medical workers arrested in the Gaza Strip remain in Israel's arrest, Associated Press (AP) reported, citing the Healthcare Workers Watch for human rights organization.
Earlier, the Israeli authorities agreed to release 250 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, as well as to the return of more than 1,700 residents of prisons, have been arrested since October 7, 2023.
The exchange took place on Monday through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
According to human rights activists, the list of releases includes 55 medical workers. The remaining 115 doctors, nurses and other hospital workers continue to be detained by the Israeli authorities.
