Former Kenyan Prime Minister Rayla Airinga, who has taken the post since 2008 to 2013, has died at the age of 80 in India, Nairobi Leo news portal reports.

The former prime minister receiving treatment in the city of India has died of a heart stop. Airinga lost consciousness during a morning walk and moved to a nearby hospital where doctors knew him died.

Airinga was the long leader of the opposition "Orange Democratic Movement" party in 2005. He was fattered five times as president, 1997, 2007, 2013, 2017 and 2022.
