The Swedish government has submitted a bill to the parliament on the possibility of sending Swedish troops under NATO command in 2026, the government's office reports.

The bill is proposed to send up to 1700 crews from Land troops, no more than 700 crews from the Air Force and the Air Defense Department to promote NATO's collective restraint and protection in the North Atlantic region.

The land units will be sent to the NATO multi-national brigade in Latvia, NATO NATO forces in the North Atlantic Region, and the Air Force and Air Defense Division in the NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defense System.
