Conor McGregor has been disqualified

The UFC press service said that former lightweight and semi-finished weight champion Konor McGregor was disqualified for 18 months due to a violation of the organization's anti-doping policy. Armsport.am writes.

It is known that in 2024 McGregor did not appear three times to test the doping test. According to the UFC regulations, athletes are obliged to constantly provide accurate information about their location to conduct surprise doping tests. McGregor missed the tests on June 13, September 19, 20, and 20, which was considered a violation of the rules with not providing information on the location.

The 37-year-old athlete has fully cooperated with the independent anti-doping body (CSAD), accepted detailed information, which, according to CSAD, have contributed to the omissions of tests. As a result, the usual 24-month disqualification period has decreased for six months.

McGregor's disqualification began on September 20, 2024 and will end on March 20, 2026.

Conor McGregor became a semi-finished weight champion of UFC in 2015, and in the lightweight category in 2016. His last fight took place in 2021, when he defeated Dustin Puari. McGregor has 22 victories and 6 defeats in MMA.
