As a result of demarcation, the state border of RA is reproduced, it is at least illogical to call it a concession. prime minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan considers the rumors that the Armenian side is making concessions in the process of border demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Tavush region unacceptable. According to Armenpress, Pashinyan said this during a question-and-answer session with members of the government in the National Assembly. Why, because if the existing de jure state border of the Republic of Armenia is reproduced (I want to remind you that it is not created, but reproduced), it is at least not logical to call it a concession. I would consider it a success, because for the first time in its history, the Republic of Armenia reproduces the border through self-negotiation and lays the most important cornerstone for the further development of Armenia's sovereignty and statehood," said Pashinyan. The Prime Minister justified why he considers the border to be reproduced. "In 1991, in fact, joining the Alma-Ata declaration, the Republic of Armenia declared once again that it was gaining independence within the borders of Soviet Armenia. And the inviolability of the borders was recorded in the Alma-Ata Declaration, and as of 1991, the existing de jure borders are the borders between the Armenian SSR and the Azerbaijani SSR. And we have been working during this time, we have raised all the de jure grounds for the existence of that border. We made sure that we know where the legal border of the Republic of Armenia passes and reproduced that border on the ground, adopting the principle "the border passes where it passes". I want to emphasize that as a result of this demarcation process, not a single millimeter of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia was left to anyone else. The sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia is fully recorded in the demarcated areas," concluded Pashinyan.
