We can turn the statements of the US presidential candidates into a banner and use them to advance our interests.
International scholar Suren Sargsyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"One fact is undeniable. Under Trump, Artsakh was attacked, under Biden/Harris, it was depopulated. All this was directed not only by the critical statements of the US, but also by the international community, but by zero clear actions. This is one of the reasons why American Armenian organizations do not officially support the US president or any candidate.
Nevertheless, the statements and positions of the candidates are important. They create a basis for working with any candidate in the future to advance the Armenian agenda, including the recognition and condemnation of ethnic cleansing. It is clear that the statements of the candidates are of a pre-election nature and there is absolutely no need to get excited. :
However, we can turn these statements into a banner tomorrow and use them to advance our interests in Washington," he wrote.
