Serbia wants to become a full member of the European Union as soon as possible, said the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sinisha Mali, performing at the Globsec Tatra 2025 summit.
"Serbian is a candidate of membership, so we are not yet full members of the EU, but we are facing almost the same challenges, as the EU is our main trading partner. And we do our best to become a member of the EU as soon as possible, "Tanjug news agency quoted Mali as saying.
According to Mali, the EU has not yet developed a clear strategy to ensure energy available in the future. "Frankly, from Serbia I do not see a clear path for the EU. Germany just handed over six gigawatts of coach power plants, France, one, Greece, another. We all talked about the green economy, climate change and all that. However, the need for clean and affordable energy simply exceeds all other ideas, "he said.
