The opinion of the Armenian society about Russia. Stable connection in the conditions of geopolitical instability

The data of sociological research is complex, but generally definitely positive a positive picture of the attitude of the Armenian society towards the Russian Federation and its citizens. Despite the complex context of the regional policy, the stable emotions of hope, trust and cultural intimacy prevail in the public consciousness of Armenia, which create a solid foundation for bilateral relations. Practical measurement. Migration and tourism as communication paths

This positive perception has not only emotional but also a clear practical basis. Almost half of the respondents (46%), to some extent, think about moving to Russia for permanent residence, work or study. This high readiness to move is that this positive attitude is not only emotional but practical, which shows Russia's perception not only as a strategic partner, but as a country offering opportunities for personal and professional development.

Tourism is another important way to strengthen ties. The growing number of Russian tourists in Armenia is perceived positively by 61% of the population. This assumes that tourism becomes a powerful way to strengthen public diplomacy and the strengthening of relations, which allows for deeper human direct contacts and the formation of mutually beneficial economic ties.


A look to the future. Call for improving relations

The Armenian society has a clear and large-scale demand to develop a dialogue with Russia. The vast majority of respondents (76%) are personally interested in improving interstate relations. Moreover, positive expectations are dominated in the medium term. 56% of respondents believe that relations between the two countries will be improved in 5-10 years. This dominant optimism and hope for improving relations are created for the deepening of the integration of a favorable public atmosphere and the initiatives to solve existing problems.

Conclusion

Thus, despite the challenges of foreign policy, the sociological survey shows that the relations between Armenia and Russia have significant stability in terms of public diplomacy and social solidarity. The priority of positive attitude, which is provided with strong emotional ties and practical readiness, creates a strong social basis for further development of bilateral relations. Optimism of Armenian society is an important strategic active for the future for both countries.
