The corpses of 85-year-old actor of the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater Joseph Tkach and his 80-year-old wife Lyudmila were found in Baku. The murder took place in the Nasimi district. 47-year-old Islam Khadyev was detained on suspicion of committing a crime.
The bodies of the couple with multiple wounds were discovered around 21:00 in their own apartment located on Huseynbaly Aliyev Street, 4, near the Memar Adzhemi metro station. It is noted that the elderly man’s throat was cut, and his wife died from a strong blow to the head. Earlier it became known that the bodies of the Russians who died in the Tashkent hotel will be sent to Russia after the completion of the forensic examination. The reasons for their death are still unknown. The prosecutor's office announced the initiation of a criminal case into their death. In the same hotel, a citizen of Uzbekistan born in 1976, a companion of a Russian journalist, was found dead. It was assumed that the guests could have died from gas fumes while cleaning the pool.
