New York Mayor Eric Adams said he was leaving the election campaign, thus refusing his plans to be re-elected to the city leader.

"Despite everything we gained, I can't continue my election campaign," he said in a video message on X.

Adams did not support any mayor's candidate, but called on New York to choose leaders "not with promises" but with real results.
