The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement on Sunday in response to the intensification of UN-canceled sanctions and activation of the so-called "Snapback" mechanism, Mehr reports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic stressed that the actions of three European countries (Great Britain, Germany, France) and the United States, which abuse the "Snapback" mechanism are illegal and baseless. The Ministry noted that the UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and the restrictions included in the Iranian peaceful nuclear program should be considered invalid within the established terms.
