President of the Republic of South Africa Syrely Rameflos has offered South Africa as a possible future talks between Russia and Ukraine, SABC local radio station reports.
"South Africa is in touch with both Russia and Ukraine," said Raghrosan during a meeting with South African journalists within the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
"We are honest mediators, because we are transparent with them in our deals. Our role is to find the best way to negotiate between the parties. We have told them that if they need a meeting place, they should come to South Africa.
We have made our proposal that South Africa can and wants to be the place where they can meet and negotiate, "he said.
In June 2023, representatives of seven African states, led by RamaFosa, visited Kiev and St. Petersburg to present 10 pointing peace initiative.
