The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) has allowed 7 Russian athlete to participate in the World Championship. They will take part under a neutral flag.

Regina Shaydulina (both 48 kg), Zaria Gushalov (53 kg), Maria Gusdova, Anna Zubko (both 86 kg), Victor Condratev (110 kg) (110 kg).

Russia has submitted 16 weightlifters. Among them were Armenian weightlifter Gevorg Serobyan (79 kg).

The World Cup will be held on October 2-11 in Norway.
