RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan, who is in Spain, met with Pedro Razyan, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain, Spain. Alain Simonyan thanked the counterpart for the warm reception, in response to which Pedro Razi stressed the importance of such visits from the point of strengthening bilateral ties.
In addition to the development of inter-parliamentary ties, the discussions of the interlocutors were the topics of the RA-EU relations, the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia, the topics of the observation mission in Armenia. A separate reference was made to the Program for the Property for International Peace and Prosperity (TRAP).
Highlighting the agreements reached on August 8 in Washington, the Senate President noted that Spain is waiting for the final signing of the peace agreement, adding that it has no alternative to peace.
Alen Simonyan also called on the partner to the issue of prisoners and illegal persons in Azerbaijan, emphasizing the issue of those who were considered missing.
