The citizens of Masisi who trade in lamb meat suffered a loss of 600,000 dollars, they blame the Iranian ambassador and consul in Armenia.

A number of residents of the town of Masis, which trades in lamb meat, are currently protesting near the slaughterhouse of Masis. The reason is that, according to them, the Iranian ambassador and consul in RA bought a lamb from them and did not return the money, it is about 600 thousand dollars. In a conversation with Tert.am, one of them, Romik Bakoyan, said that all this started on June 20. when the owner of the slaughterhouse, Armond Hakhverdyan, called them, the traders, and said that he had brought a buyer from Iran to Armenia, who wanted to buy lamb skins at the slaughterhouse.

"We came, talked, agreed and wanted to work with that person. They gave us the money for the 1st and 2nd batch of fur, we realized the 3rd batch of fur, we are talking about 156 million drams, they stole that money and did not give it to us. We were cheated by Iran. We worked with buyer Yusuf Murazi. When the money started not being given from Iran, we started to worry, we took steps, as a result of which we reached the Iranian embassy," said Romik Bakoyan. Then he told that they met with the Iranian consul in Armenia, who took them to Ambassador Mehdi Sobhan, on September 14. they met with the latter: "The ambassador personally invited us.
He said: people, I'm begging you, don't speak up, this is embarrassing for Armenia and Iran. Everything will be normal, I guarantee Yusuf Murazi's place, he is a good person, we will work with you, give me a lamb again, I will pay you the money for that lamb personally and pay off the old money little by little. We demanded a written contract, it embarrassed us. Isn't it a shame, we represent an entire nation here, do you think I should cheat you for those two kopecks?" said Romik.

He presented that they started working as the ambassador said, at first everything was normal. "We slaughtered the first batch of lambs, it happened as the ambassador said, they paid 8 million drams from our old money, and the rest of the lambs we slaughtered were paid. The second time we slaughtered 650 lambs, the old money was not given. We asked why? He said: please, let's do it like this now, slaughter it again in two days, we will give you the money for both. "We slaughtered the third batch, they cheated and did not give the money," he said.

He mentioned that they did not allow the loaded truck to be taken to Iran, the numbers were removed. "They went to Masis police station to complain. They took us to the department, they testified, we also testified that something like this happened, everyone recorded those incidents. As of yesterday, they gave the numbers of the truck to go, and now we have organized an action near the Masisi slaughterhouse because we were deceived," he said. He also informed that the ambassador has deceived us for the 2nd and 3rd time already. "The consul was sent by the ambassador three days ago, he was persuading us to send that product, then they will find buyers for us. They will not give that money, but they will get buyers. They say that they paid that amount, we say to whom did you pay, they answer that we paid to your buyer, Yusuf Murazi.

Yusuf Murazi also says that they didn't pay us, all the receipts are there, no such payment was made to us. That money was probably embezzled by the consul and the ambassador," he said. Tert.am tried to get clarification from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in RA and to understand their point of view. The embassy said to apply in writing, if they want, they will respond. Tert.am has sent a request to the embassy, as soon as we receive the answer, we will publish it.
