The Ministry of Health has stated that 1,700 medical workers have been killed since starting Israel's military operations

Since its incidence of hostilities, more than 1,700 medical workers have been killed in the bombing or shelling of Gaza.

"As of today, due to Israel's military operations, the death toll from medical workers in Gaza has reached 1723," the Spokesman of the Ministry of Health expressed the report of Al Jazeera. He added that 38 hospitals were hit by artillery or air strikes during the military operation.

The Speaker of the Ministry of Health noted that the current ban on gas supply of Gaza to the Israeli authorities "threatened to turn into a terrible disaster for both the healthcare sector and the entire enclave."

On August 18, Al Jazeera reported that most Barcode Strip hospitals were damaged and stopped operating due to battles. Only 15 of about 40 hospitals continue to operate, many of which are only partially.
