Tokayev said Kazakhstan will support the United Nations

During a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterresh in New York, Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev said that the country would support the United Nations and help him strengthen peace. The press service of the leader of Kazakhstan stated this.

"The President of Kazakhstan and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterresh discussed the agenda of the UN General Assembly session. Kasim-Jomart Tokayev confirmed that Kazakhstan will continue to support the organization and actively promote its central role in strengthening peace, stability and sustainable development, "the press service said.

During the meeting, in the presence of Tokayev and Guterresh, a memorandum on the activities of the Regional Center for Sustainable Development of the United Nations of Central Asia and Afghanistan was signed.

The President of Kazakhstan is on September 21-23 on a working visit to New York. His speech is planned in general discussions of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
