The village of North Nagorno-Karabakh is located in the northern part of the Nagorno-Karabakh Martakert region, 52 from the regional center, and 42 km away from the capital and the capital Stepanakert.
The village is mountainous, has 3560.96 hectares of agriculture, of which 1386,131 hectares of agriculture, and 2004.16 hectares of forest lands. The tributary of Khachen River flows through the border zone of the village.
More than 55 historical and cultural monuments are registered in the village, including 1668. St. Astvatsatsin Church, Khachkar of the 12th-13th Centuries, BC 2-1 thousand. Tomans, 1249 The Church of the South (Desert), the "Apracue" castle of the 12th-13th centuries, etc.
St. Astvatsatsin Church preserved in the village was built in 1668., Gandzasar Petros Kharkel, during the Catholicosate. Khachkars have been preserved in the walls of the church, one of which dates back to 1253. Sargis Jalalants said that in the middle of the 19th century, he saw a Bible in St. Astvatsatsin who was last recycled in the mid-17th century.
The membranes in the Bible speaks of the activities of Khachen princes in the 13th-14th centuries. Above the church, on a cave, the hermit's apartment and grave, and in the eastern part of the village, there is a similar cave and a grave.
On the eastern side of the facade, the church of South (desert) built in 1249 is under a small cliff, and next to it, the cemetery of the 12th-18th centuries.
In the range of Arajadzor and the Monastery, on the left bank of the Khachen River, the city is located.
The ruins of some buildings have been preserved there, of which St. Stepanos Church is in 1229.
Two rock chapels built in the 13th century have been preserved in the southern part of Argadzor. The protocol on the rock near them proves that the chapels were built in 1249.
Makar Barkhudaryan, in his work, states that the Red and Martyr Churches are located on the north side of the facade. Remains of the village and cemetery were found in those two churches. The two churches are not preserved today.
In the northern part of the village, on one of the tributaries of Khachen River, a medieval bridge was preserved, and on the Eastern Edge, the apermanhable castle was built in the 12th-13th centuries.
There are about 16 sources in the village: "Freshs", "Salbandk", "Tinjen", "Pit", "Buddz", "Bach", "Collunts", "Dovants",
"Cold", "Land", "Ghardunts", "Mirzin", "Navi" and "Switch".
Until 2023 Azerbaijan's forced deportation of Nagorno Karabakh's Armenian population was operating in the village, a kindergarten, a medical center, a secondary school. About 790 people lived in the village, who were mainly engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry and agriculture.
