Poland, Latvia and Lithuania have rejected the invitation to observe Zapd-2025 military exercises

Poland, Latvia and Lithuania have not accepted the invitation of Belarus to consider Zapad-2025 military exercises, said Alexander Wolfovic, Secretary of State Security Council of Belarus.

"Unfortunately, our invitation to observe military exercises was not accepted by the Polish, not Lithuanian or Latvian," the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry quoted him as saying.

Wolfovic stressed that the exercise is purely defensive. "The goals of the exercise are, first of all, to develop issues related to the security of the union's state. The exercise does not make any threat to our Western neighbors and Western partners, "he said.

Wolfovich explains that "today the Polish leadership, the leadership of the Baltic states know that this is a military exercise, and that everything is a threat to them in the territory of the Republic of Belarus."
