Opera singer, People's Artist of Armenia Barsegh Tumanyan, sculptor, academician, People's Artist of Armenia Levon Tokmajyan, poet, literary critic, honored figure of culture of Armenia Henrik Edoyan and stage director, People's Artist of Armenia Armen Khandikyan were awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Yerevan" by the decision of Yerevan Council of Elders. This was announced by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan.
"Yerevan is made up of people who liven up the city and its cultural life with their talent, dedication and work. I also gave letters of thanks, certificates of honor to the employees of the Yerevan Municipality who distinguished themselves with their work and showed the best results," added the mayor.
