As of August 1, the number of refugees from Ukraine to the EU amounted to 4.34 million, the European Commission's statistical agency, Eurostat reports.

"The number of non-EU citizens who escaped from Ukraine to 4.34 million have reached 4.34 million," agency reported.

In July, their number increased by 28.7 thousand or 0.7%.

Most of them are in Germany - 1.2 million in Poland, 993 thousand and in the Czech Republic - 380 thousand.
