Montenegro can end the EU membership talks with the European Commission by the end of 2026. This opinion was expressed by the European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos at a joint press conference with the Austrian Youth, Family, European Union and Integration Minister Claudia Placolm.
"Two candidates have made some progress in EU membership. Montenegro is already satisfying all membership criteria. If everything continues in this spirit, we will end the talks until the end of 2026, and soon with Albania, "he said.
