The European Union (EU) intends to block the ban on re-export to Russia through third countries in the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions. This was reported by the European Politico edition.
According to him, European diplomats do not expect anything new from the next package of restrictions, "except in the form of re-export ban through one's third countries." Politico notes that this event will be taken to prevent European goods from preventing Russia through countries that allow goods to import goods from Europe.
The publication notes that the new package will be aimed at the "fighting sanctions on bypass and avoiding them", as well as tightening the restrictions on energy and financial spheres.
The Russian side has repeatedly stressed the illegal nature of its unilateral sanctions against it, as it noted that they are harming those initiators of these measures.
