There are no cocaine places or drug laboratories in Venezuela, and in the near future the transit of drugs through the territory of the republic will be completely blocked. This was stated by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Venezolana de Televisión TV channel.
"According to the reports of the United Nations and a number of countries, which reflect the real situation and are subject to expert inspection, the Venezuelan area is free from cocaine plants, cocaine laboratories, and soon we have completely blocked drug transit," Maduro said.
The Venezuelan leader noted that 87% of cocaine from South America, Ecuador and Peru, and 8%, and only 5% are trying to move drugs through the Venezuela area, 70% of which are confiscated.
Maduro has said that in recent years, "402 plants used for drug trafficking" have been "neutralized", and that Venezuela will soon launch the transit of drugs through its territory.
