Depardieu has been a court again in the case of rape

The 76-year-old French actor Gerard Depardieu will again face the court on charges of rape of actress Charlotte Arnu. According to AFP, reference to its sources.

The judicial investigator of this case has decided to transfer it to the Criminal Court of Paris, said the actress' lawyer Karin Diybolt.

Depardieu has been under investigation in this case since December 2020. The actress claims that in August 2018, Depardieu raped him in his Paris apartment. Depardieu denies the accusations, saying that their relations were voluntarily.

Charlotte Arnu told AFP that he felt relieved after the end of the "horror and hell" of seven years. Depardieu's lawyer refused to comment.

It should be reminded that in May of this year, the French court found Depardieu guilty of sexual violence against two women during the shooting of the "Green Follow" in 2021. He was sentenced to 18 months of conventional imprisonment.
