The UK stops pressure on Apple to weaken ICLOD security

The British government has agreed to abandon its controversial requirement to access the coded data provided by Apple users in ICLUD. According to MacRumors, this was reported by US intelligence director Toulis Gabbard, noting that this decision will prevent the "backdoor" (BACKDOOR), which could endanger millions of users.

In his post published in the X social network (formerly Twitter), Gabbhard said that the United Kingdom refused to create a "black hole", which would "sign entries to the encrypted data of American citizens and violated our civil liberties."

Although Britain has agreed to cancel the corresponding decision, it has not yet been officially taken back. The media note that Apple has not yet received any official notice by any government.

Earlier this year, the United Kingdom had applied the law on investigative powers (INVESTIGATORY POWERS ACT, to require secret entry into encrypted data stored in iCloud worldwide. In response, Apple stated that it prefers to completely remove the "Advanced Data Protection" function from Britain than to violate its safety standards.

The company clearly noted that it is ready to remove the important functions of iCloud, such as FaceTime and Imessage, if you have to make concessions on users' security. The British side justified its demand for the fight against terrorism and the need to identify sexual violence against children.
