Apple will start the production of all current iPhone models out of China for the first time

Technological Giant Apple is increasing an iPhone production in India, trying to reduce its dependence on China for the US market. Bloomberg reports that all four iPhone 17 models will be produced in India for the first time next month.

The expansion includes five Indian factories, including Tata Group recent factories and Foxconn, near Bangalore Airport. TATA-controlled factories predicted to produce up to half of India's iPhone production in the next two years, strengthening the role of the conglomerate as an Apple's main partner.

In India, growth is already showing results. In July, the country has supplied $ 7.5 billion worth of iPhones, which is more than $ 17 billion in the previous financial year. Last month, the Canalys analytical company reported that India has exceeded China, becoming a leading manufacturer of smartphones supplied to the United States.

The move occurs when Apple is trying to reduce the risks associated with the tariff policy set by the geopolitical tensions and the Trump administration.

However, the process of transporting production has not passed without its difficulties. According to some reports, China is hampering technology transfer to India, and Foxconn has recalled hundreds of Chinese engineers from its Indian factories. According to sources, Apple has replaced them with engineers from Taiwan and Japan, which has raised its expenses.
