Hot seasons in the last week and high temperatures in Armenia


For more than a week, the whole territory of the republic is considered a high thermal background. The Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center notes that such long-lasting hot weather is accepted to call "thermal waves", which can be dangerous in individual regions for human health.
 
"These days, Armenia is under the influence of tropical warm and powerful air currents, which extend to 5-6 km high. The average daily temperatures are pillow 3-5 degrees from normal.
 
According to the monitoring of the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center, the observations of the night, and night temperatures were registered in the period from August 1 to 7.
 
The highest night temperatures were registered in the lowlands of Yerevan, Vayots Dzor and Syunik valleys. An unprecedented high night temperatures were registered at Meghri and Yerevan-Agro (Merdzavan) meteorological stations on August 5 and 7, when the temperature not deducted from 28.5 ° C throughout the night.
 
The hot weather brought high daytime temperatures. The maximum air temperatures exceeded 40 ° C in Areni (42.9 ° C), in Yerevan (41.3 ° C), Ashtarak (41 ° C) and Armavir (40.4 ° C), "the statement said.
